Our original company was named as Kamal Tailors and our Founder Mr Budhiram Nayak came to Mumbai in 1970 from Rajasthan at the age of 18. He started learning for tailoring at well-known tailors of that era. After that he worked as assistant tailor and simultaneously he used to do his free-lance from home also.
After 14 years of working as assistant tailor he started his own tailoring firm as Kamal tailors in 1985 – 2004, he single handed managed. In 2004 Mr. Ravindra Nayak his son joined his as intern while studying his designing course.
In the year 2007, Ravindra started working as assistant costume designer in Bindaas channel. After that in 2008 he started working in films as assistant costume designer to well-known designer. In the year 2009, He has also worked as production head for Manish Malhotra, Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla.
He also worked as production head for brands like Westside, lifestyle and Desi global in 2010 after working for five years in various companies.
Ravindra took a decision of establishing his home company in 2012,in the name of Kamal Design Studio where he worked on different shows are as follows:
